Extensive experience at strategic and advisory SEND level, built on frontline foundations as a SENCO, setting manager and teacher, means we know what training actually improves practice, and what families want to know to get the best possible outcomes. That knowledge is strengthened by the strong relationships and shared understanding between our associate professionals — people with different areas of expertise who know and trust each other, and whose combined perspective makes the support we offer genuinely rounded. Small enough to pivot to your needs. Knowledgeable, skilled and connected enough to find solutions to complex challenges.
Working with families and children, in educational settings and within a Local Authority enabled us to listen to all sides of the conversation: settings doing their best with stretched resources, families trying to make sense of a process and system which is new to them and rarely explains itself, and Local Authorities making difficult decisions amongst competing demands. Independent practice exists to translate and find common ground — honestly, without false promises, and without the jargon which makes families experiencing the system for the first time feel like outsiders in decisions about their own children. We find workable and meaningful solutions for individuals.
A career built on frontline teaching, with the majority of that time spent in specialist SEND advisory roles across early years and statutory settings.
Advised schools and early years settings on SEND, conducted assessments, and delivered professional training across the borough — contributing to a partnership that the November 2024 Area SEND inspection found "typically lead[s] to positive experiences and outcomes for children and young people with SEND."
Thorough experience of SEND panels and the evidence-based decisions that determine whether applications succeed or fail. That knowledge of the legislation and the process is used to build stronger cases and support better outcomes for the children behind them.
Led oversight, design and project management of this sensory outdoor learning environment, working as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team to turn a co-produced vision into a space that genuinely works for the children, families and practitioners using it.
Empowering and engaging, by design: SEND training built around real need and tailored to each audience — delivered across settings, with families and college students.
Conceived and led across education, health and partner agencies; expanded in 2025 to include dedicated sessions for families and children. A proven, scalable model which can be curated to meet your needs.
Built capacity supporting children and families through transition periods.
Managed and monitored service budgets, with a track record of effective allocation and demonstrable value for money.
Direct procurement experience and a strong relational approach to working with contractors and partner teams, delivering projects on time and within budget.
Confidence using data and analysis to identify priorities, target resources at greatest need, and forecast service demand.
A proven ability to build trust and credibility quickly across education, health, social care and the voluntary sector.
This means the work is never limited to one person's hours. Complex assessments, larger training contracts, and funding panel preparation requiring more than one professional's input can be taken on credibly — while keeping fixed costs at zero. It's the natural growth path from sole practice to an associate-based consultancy.
