I’ve been working with Jenny Higham over the past 1.5 years in the early years support team, and she has made an incredible difference to both my son, and our family.

After feeling like my concerns weren’t being listened to during my child’s two-year progress checks, I was dismissed and advised to go through PALS, which made me feel powerless to get the help we needed. As a mum of a special needs child, you often don’t know where to turn or who to go to for help.

Jenny was the first person who truly listened, understood, and took action to help us. She met with us and spent time getting to know my child and his needs, and she also visited his preschool and childminder settings to gain a full understanding of his situation. She has been supportive, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable throughout every step of our journey.

Jenny has guided us through the EHCP process, explaining everything clearly and always being there to answer questions or offer reassurance when things felt overwhelming for me. Her dedication and persistence have helped ensure my son receives the support he needs. She has also been working closely with everyone involved to make the transition to reception as smooth as possible. Thanks to her support, my son has been able to access the right environment to help him thrive.

I will always be grateful for Jenny’s kindness, patience, and commitment. She has not only advocated for my son but has also given me confidence as a parent to keep pushing for the support my son deserves. I cannot thank her enough for everything she has done, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family needing support and guidance.
